Aztecs women's basketball sophomore Keara Felix (Overland HS, Aurora, CO) signed her letter of intent on Tuesday to play at Texas Wesleyan University, an NAIA school in Fort Worth, TX. Felix played in 63 games in her Pima career and helped the Aztecs win the NJCAA Region I, Division II title in 2020 and the NJCAA Division II Southwest District crown in 2021. Women's Basketball Forward Keara Felix signs to Texas Wesleyan University April 26, 2022 Pima Community College women’s basketball player Keara Felix signed her letter of intent on Tuesday to continue her education and collegiate career at the four-year university level. Full Story

Sophomore guard Melissa Simmons (Desert Oasis HS), NV) signed her letter of intent to play at Ottawa University Arizona, an NAIA school in Surprise. She averaged 9.1 points in 31 games played this season. The Aztecs went 50-23 with Simmons on the roster. The (2) Pima Women's Basketball season came to an end of Saturday as they fell 66-58 to (1) Mesa Community College in the NJCAA Region I, Division II Finals. Sophomore Melissa Simmons scored a team-high 13 points to go along with five assists and three rebounds as the No. 2 seeded Aztecs women's basketball team beat No. 3 Scottsdale Community College 54-45 in the NJCAA Region I, Division II Semifinals. The Aztecs will play at No. 1 Mesa Community College in the Region Finals on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. It will be the 12th meeting in 14 years between the two programs in the finals.
