Aztecs Men's Basketball beats Phoenix College by 60 points to improve to 26-0

The Pima Community College men's basketball team (26-0, 14-0 in ACCAC) came away with a convincing win on Wednesday at Phoenix College (8-18, 0-14).

  • The No. 4 ranked Aztecs won their 26th straight game as they beat the Bears 105-45. The Aztecs went 3-0 against the Bears in the regular season, winning by an average of 48 points. This was Pima's 15th game scoring in triple digits this season.
  • The Aztecs held the Bears to just 18 points in the first half taking a 55-18 advantage. Pima won the second half 50-27.
  • Sophomore Isaac Johnson scored a team-high 19 points as he went 7-for-8 from the field with three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
  • Freshman Will Feagles (Notre Dame Prep) went 5-for-9 from three-point range and finished with 17 points. He added three assists and two rebounds.
  • Sophomore Brock Mendoza posted his 12th double-double of the season finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds. He also added five blocks. Freshman Isaiah Hill (Premier Prep Academy) also scored 14 points to go with seven assists, two rebounds and two steals.
  • Freshman Paul Olivares Yepiz (Salpointe Catholic HS) also scored in double figures with 10 points. He also had three steals.

The Aztecs will be back at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Saturday when they host Chandler-Gilbert Community College at 4:00 p.m.
