Women's Jumper Kymia Bridgett earns second selection as ACCAC Field Athlete of the Week

Pima Community College women's track & field athlete Kymia Bridgett earned her second selection as ACCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week after her performance at the NAU Tune-Up last Friday in Flagstaff.

  • Bridgett, a sophomore jumper, took first place in the Triple Jump with a mark of 12.02 meters (39-feet, 5.25-inches). She also took second place in the Long Jump and gained a new personal record with a mark of 5.28 meters (17-feet, 4-inches).
  • Bridgett earned her first nod as ACCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 25-31 where she set a personal-record in the Triple Jump at 12.11 meters at the CAC Indoor Invitational.

Bridgett will compete at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships from Mar. 6-7 at Washburn University in Topeka, KS.
