Hunley Named NJCAA All-American
Pima Community College women's soccer player Devyn Hunley (Sabino HS) received national recognition from the NJCAA on Thursday.
Hunley, a sophomore forward, was named second team NJCAA Division I All-American. She helped lead the Aztecs to the best record in program history at 20-2-2 and a second straight appearance in the NJCAA Division I national tournament. The team was also undefeated at Kino Sports Complex for the second straight year.
Hunley played and started in all 24 games as she scored a team-leading 15 goals and also had 10 assists. She was named first-team All-ACCAC/Region I in back-to-back years.
For the second straight year the Aztecs have produced an NJCAA Division I All-American. Shannon Shields was named first-team all-american last year. Pima has five NJCAA All-Americans in the last eight years.
Hunley is undecided on a four-year school at this time.
