Bio
Started at Pima: 2005
Education: Jen’s coaching is backed by a strong academic foundation in pedagogy and mentorship. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from the University of Arizona and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. This background allows her to approach player development with a unique blend of technical mastery and strategic leadership.
Playing Experience: Coach Jen's journey in the sport is marked by high-stakes success, beginning at Pima Community College, where she played for two years and garnered significant accolades. During her tenure at Pima, she was named an NJCAA 1st Team All-American in 2003 and was selected as a key member of the NJCAA All-Star Team that competed in the Canada Cup. Her dominant performance earned her the title of ACCAC Player of the Year in both 2002 and 2003. Following her standout start at Pima, Coach Jen took her talents to the University of Arizona, playing for the Wildcats during the 2004 and 2005 seasons, where they became PAC 10 champions both years. After her collegiate achievements, she transitioned to the professional level, playing for the Arizona Heat in 2006.
Highlights: A defining moment of her collegiate career came in 2005, when she hit a legendary game-winning home run against Oklahoma, propelling the Wildcats to the Women’s College World Series.
Coaching Experience: Coach Jen is an accomplished softball coach with a rich playing history and a lifelong passion for developing elite athletes. Her move into coaching was a natural progression; she served as an Assistant Coach at Pima Community College for five years, playing an integral role in leading the team to the NJCAA National Championship in 2006. The team made history, becoming the first ACCAC conference program to win the Region I, Division I Championship in 2024 and then the Region I, Division II Championship in 2025. Currently, Jen is proud to serve as the Hitting and Corner Defensive Coach at Pima Community College. She continues to inspire and mentor the next generation of players, using her deep-rooted dedication to the sport to remain an invaluable asset to the program and the Tucson softball community. She is also currently the Philanthopy Coordinator for Athletics with the Pima Foundation.
Personal: In her personal time she enjoys working out and spending time with her family and two daughters Vivian and Emma
