Aztecs Softball gets No. 8 seed for the NJCAA Division II World Series

The Pima Community College softball team is heading back to the NJCAA Division II World Series as the seeding announcements were released on the NJCAA Network.

The Aztecs will be the No. 8 seed for the tournament. All the games will be held at the Tyger River Park in Spartanburg, SC.
The Aztecs will open against No. 9 seed Des Moines Area Community College (IA) on Wednesday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. (ET); 8:00 a.m. (Tucson time).
The Aztecs beat the Bears in the consolation bracket 9-1 (F/6) at last year's NJCAA Division II World Series.

The Aztecs are 47-8 overall and claimed their third straight Region I/West District Championships after beating South Mountain Community College 1-0 on Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Field. The Aztecs finished 25-2 at Aztec Field and 22-6 on the road.
