Belen Camacho's shutout week earns ACCAC Pitcher of the Week

Sophomore Belen Camacho (Pueblo HS) earned her second selection as ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week as she threw 6.2 scoreless innings in relief, giving up five hits with 16 strikeouts and no walks in wins over Glendale Community College and Paradise Valley Community College. Pima Community College softball player Belen Camacho (Pueblo HS) had strong outings coming out of the bullpen during the week of Mar. 8-14.

  • Camacho, a sophomore right-handed pitcher, was named ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season. She earned her first nod for the week of Feb. 15-21 where she was selected NJCAA and ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week.
  • Camacho made two relief appearances, pitching 6.2 scoreless innings, giving up five hits with 16 strikeouts and no walks in Pima's wins over Glendale Community College and Paradise Valley Community College.
  • Camacho is 7-2 with a 3.36 ERA in 56.1 innings pitched with 63 strikeouts and five complete games.

The No. 12 ranked Aztecs split with No. 14 South Mountain Community College on Tuesday and will hit the road for an ACCAC conference doubleheader on Saturday at Scottsdale Community College. First game starts at 11:00 a.m.
