Bio

Started at Pima: 2013
Education: BS in Education from University of Arizona
Coaching Experience: Coach Peabody has over 35 years of head coaching experience with over 700 wins in his career in Division I, Junior College and High School levels. From 1982-1990 he was an assistant at Sahuaro High School under Dick McConnell. He has heading coaching stops at Green Fields Country Day (1990-1992), St. Gregory College Prep (1992-1993), Salpointe Catholic High School (1993-2003), Pima Community College (2003-2004) and Ironwood Ridge High School (2007-2013). He was also an assistant to Steve Shurina at NCAA Division I Western Carolina University (2004-2005).
Highlights: Peabody has led Pima to five Region I, Division II Championships in the last nine years; including two straight (2024, 2025). They won three straight NJCAA Region I, Division II Championships (2017, 2018, 2019). In 2025, the Aztecs won 34 straight games and finished 35-1 overall finishing in Third Place at the NJCAA Division II Tournament. In 2018, his team was the national runner-up at the NJCAA Division II Tournament. In 2019, his team took seventh place and the previous year,  had an Elite Eight finish at the national tournament (2017). As a high school coach, he has two state championships, five state championship game appearances, six state final four appearances, 13 regional tournament titles, 12 region titles and six coach of the year awards. More than 100 of Coach Peabody’s former players have gone on to play at the Junior College level, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and NCAA Division I programs.
Personal: Married to Kris Peabody. 2 children; daughter Payton and son Carson.
