Mason Hunt earns third ACCAC Player of the Week nod

Pima Community College men's basketball player Mason Hunt (Bradshaw Mountain HS) came away with his third selection as ACCAC Division II Player of the Week.

Hunt, a sophomore forward, averaged 20.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steal for the week of Feb. 1-7 as the Aztecs picked up wins over Community Christian College and Scottsdale Community College. Hunt shot 15-for-27 (55.6 percent) from the field, 3-for-8 (37.5 percent) from three-point range and 8-for-9 (88.9 percent) from the free throw line.
He has played and started in 22 games this season averaging 18.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game. He is shooting 48.8 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from beyond the arc and 74.5 percent from the foul line.

The No. 4 ranked Aztecs improved to 26-0 after their 105-45 win at Phoenix College on Wednesday. They will be back at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Saturday against Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Tip-off is at 2:00 p.m.
