Aztecs Women's Cross Country competes at NJCAA Division I National Championships

The Pima Community College women's cross country team closed out the 2025 season on Saturday at the NJCAA Division I National Championships in Fort Dodge, IA.

  • The Aztecs finished in 22nd place in the final team standings with a score of 579 points. Odessa College took first place with 54 points. Central Arizona College was 11th with 290.
  • Sophomore Sofia Cambridge (Page HS) was the top finisher for the Aztecs as she took 99th place out of 178 competitors in the 5K (3.1-mile) race with a time of 21 minutes, 34.2 seconds.
  • Freshman Cassidy Davidson (Cienega HS) crossed the finish line in 108th place at 21:56.7 while sophomore Elizabeth Coppola (Pusch Ridge Christian HS) was 113th with a time of 21:59.5.
  • Freshman Madeline Mitchell (Tucson Magnet HS) placed 134th and was clocked at 22:45.3 and sophomore Elexia Aragon (Flowing Wells HS) finished 159th at 24:16.1.

The Aztecs will compete in the Indoor and Outdoor Women's Track & Field season starting in January.
