Aztecs Men's Cross Country competes at the NJCAA Division I National Championships

The Aztecs Men's Cross Country team finished in 26th place with a team score of 650 points at the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Saturday at Pole Green Park in Richmond, VA. The Pima Community College men's cross country team closed out the fall season on Saturday as it competed at the NJCAA Division I National Championships held at Pole Green Park in Richmond, VA.

  • The Aztecs finished in 26th place out of 28 teams with a team score of 650 points. Salt Lake Community College took first place with 52 points. Central Arizona College placed 10th with 256 points.
  • Sophomore Louis Madrigal-Diaz (North Canyon HS) was the top finisher for the Aztecs as he closed out the 8K race with a time of 26 minutes, 32.6 seconds earning 94 points. He took 99th place in the individual standings out of 193 runners.
  • Freshman Noah Brunet (Ironwood Ridge HS) gave Pima 99 team points after he closed out the race in 104th place with a time of 26:35.8.
  • Freshman Tayvien Biancuzzo (Mica Mountain View HS) earned a personal-record time of 27:21.4 as he finished 138th. His placement gave the Aztecs 133 team points.
  • Sophomore Zack Comaduran (Marana HS) got 158 points as he closed out the race with a time of 28:04.3. Fellow sophomore Evan Rasoumoff (Catalina Foothills HS) got 166 team points as he crossed the finish line at 28:49.1.

The Aztecs will return for Indoor Track & Field season starting in January.
