Pima Community College men's track & field competitor Noah Macias (Mica Mountain HS) produced a record-breaking performance in the 800 meters last Saturday at the GCC Indoor Invitational and received recognition from the ACCAC conference.

  • Macias, a freshman distance runner, was named ACCAC Co-Track Athlete of the Week as he shared the honor with Jaden Laffitte from Mesa Community College.
  • Macias took first place in the 800-meter race with a time of 1 minute, 52.51 seconds breaking the Pima school record. The previous record was held by Dustin Zimmerman at 1:53.76 set in 2004.
