Taylor Brown breaks his second Indoor school record at CAC Invitational

The Pima Community College men's track & field team competed in its third meet of the Indoor season on Saturday at the CAC Invitational held at Central Arizona College.

  • The No. 8 ranked Aztecs were highlighted by a new school record and three new NJCAA national qualifying marks.
  • Sophomore Taylor Brown broke his second Indoor school record as he toppled the 200 meters, taking third place with a time of 20.98 seconds. His time overtook Nasir Tucker's previous record of 21.59 set in 2024. Brown broke the 400-meter school record at the Al Shirley Invitational with a time of 47.02 seconds.
  • The 4x400 team of Brown, freshman Jashon Wright, sophomore Jake Applegate and freshman Noah Macias took second place and earned a national qualifying time of 3:16.07. They took the No. 2 spot in the Pima all-time list for the relay.
  • Sophomore Malachi Keller (Tombstone HS) placed second in the High Jump and earned a national qualifier with a mark of 1.99 meters (6-feet, 6.25-inches).

The Aztecs will compete at the GCC Indoor Multi's on Friday and the GCC Invitational on Saturday in Glendale.
