Pima Community College women’s soccer players Meredith Galus (Walden Grove HS) and Brooke Valencia (Sabino HS) received national awards from the NJCAA on Tuesday as the Division II All-Americans were released.

The No. 6 seed Aztecs Women's Soccer season came to a close out Tuesday as they fell 2-0 to No. 3 seed Heartland Community College. The Aztecs finished 14-2-5 overall; the least amount of defeats since 2015. The Pima Community College women’s soccer team played its final game of the 2025 season on Tuesday at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

Sophomores Kristal Navarro, Samantha Mendez and freshmen Yajaira Cervantes, Ava Dagnino and Gabriela Mendoza all netted goals as the No. 6 seeded Aztecs Women's Soccer team beat No. 10 Sussex County Community College 5-0 for their eighth shutout win of the season. The Pima Community College soccer teams found out their seeds on Tuesday in their respected NJCAA Division II National Tournaments in Wichita, KS.

The Aztecs Women's Soccer team had eight representatives on the All-ACCAC and All-Region teams as head coach Kendra Veliz was named ACCAC/Region I, Division II Coach of the Year. Sophomores Brooke Valencia, Meredith Galus, Anjeli DesRosier, Samantha Mendez and Yajaira Cervantes were all selected First Team while freshman Ava Dagnino earned Second Team honors and sophomore Kristal Navarro was named Honorable Mention. The Pima Community College women’s soccer team produced the most selections on the All-ACCAC and All-Region I, Division II teams as it got recognized for a regular season where they went undefeated in conference play for the first time since 2007.

The No. 1 seeded Aztecs Women's Soccer team captured their first Region I, Division II/West District Championships on Tuesday after rallying to beat No. 2 seed Phoenix College 2-1. The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (13-1-5) returned to the top of Region I, Division II and West District on Tuesday as it hosted Phoenix College (12-3-3) at the West Campus Aztec Field.

Freshman Yajaira Cervantes (Tucson Magnet HS) scored the only goal of the game while sophomore Brooke Valencia (Sabino HS) finished with four saves as the No. 1 seeded Aztecs women's Soccer team blanked No. 4 Glendale community College 1-0 in the Region I, Division I Tournament semifinals. The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (12-1-5) is heading back to the Region I, Division II Championship round for the sixth straight season.

Sophomore defender Meredith Galus (Walden Grove HS) earned ACCAC Division II Player of the Week after she helped the Aztecs go 2-0, surrendering one goal and beating No. 8 Scottsdale Community College and shutting out Mesa Community College. The No. 1 seeded Aztecs Women's Soccer team will host No. 4 Glendale Community College on Thursday in the Region I, Division II Semifinals. Pima Community College women’s soccer player Meredith Galus (Walden Grove HS) was instrumental in its defensive efforts during the week of Oct. 19-25.

Sophomore Kristal Navarro (Tucson Magnet HS) scored an insurance goal in the 66th minute while fellow sophomore Phoebe Knisley (Canyon del Oro HS) had six saves as the No. 13 ranked Aztecs Women's Soccer team completed an undefeated ACCAC conference record with a 2-0 win at Mesa Community College. The Aztecs went 11-0-3 and it was their first undefeated record in conference since 2007. They are 11-1-5 overall and await their seeding for the Region I, Division I Tournament. Sophomore Brooke Valencia (Sabino HS) finished with a career-high 13 saves while freshman Ava Dagnino (Salpointe Catholic HS) scored two goals as the No. 13 ranked Aztecs Women's Soccer team upset No. 8 Scottsdale Community College 2-1. Pima head coach Kendra Veliz earned her 300th career victory. The Aztecs are now 10-1-5 overall and 10-0-3 in ACCAC conference play. The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (10-1-5, 10-0-3 in ACCAC) secured a double digit win total for the season on Tuesday as it hosted Scottsdale Community College (10-2-1, 9-2-1).

The No. 13 ranked Aztecs Women's Soccer team earned their fifth shutout win of the season after beating Paradise Valley Community College 8-0 on Saturday in Phoenix. The Aztecs produced seven goal scorers and five players with a goal and an assist in the game. The Aztecs are 9-1-5 overall and 9-0-3 in ACCAC conference play. The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (9-1-5, 9-0-3 in ACCAC) picked up its fifth shutout win on Saturday as it played at Paradise Valley Community College (2-10-1, 1-9-1) in an ACCAC conference contest.

Freshman forward Ava Dagnino (Salpointe Catholic HS) was selected the NJCAA and ACCAC Division II Player of the Week after she helped the Aztecs to a 2-0-1 record for the week of Oct. 5-11. Pima Community College women’s soccer player Ava Dagnino (Salpointe Catholic HS) produced another solid week for the Aztecs as her game play was noticed at the national level.

Freshman Yajaira Cervantes (Tucson Magnet HS) scored the eventual game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 87th minute as the No. 13 ranked Aztecs Women's Soccer team beat Glendale Community College 3-2. Sophomore Ashley Martinez (Sunnyside HS) scored two goals while freshman Anaya Guadian (Casa Grande Union HS) scored her first goal of the season as the No. 10 ranked Aztecs Women's Soccer team beat GateWay Community College 8-0.
