Aztecs women's soccer earn shutout road win vs. GateWay CC

The Pima Community College women's soccer team (4-2, 4-2 in ACCAC) earned its second straight shutout victory on Thursday as the Aztecs controlled its game against GateWay Community College (0-5, 0-5).

The No. 20 ranked Aztecs defeated the Geckos 3-0 at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex in Phoenix to win their third straight.

Sophomore Emily Gallagher (Sahuaro HS) put the Aztecs on the board. They also scored on an own goal that was deflected after a shot by sophomore Bailey Pedersen (Mountain View HS). Sophomore Jahmonique Smith (Cienega HS) scored the third goal.

The Aztecs finished the game with 24 shots on goal. Sophomore Tara Kase (Buena HS) had three saves for the game.

The Aztecs will be on the road again on Saturday when they play at Chandler-Gilbert Community College at 4:30 p.m.
