The Pima Community College women's track & field team signed a local standout jumper to the 2017-18 squad.

Ana Lopez (Tucson HS) signed her letter of intent to compete for the Aztecs. As a senior, she set a personal-record in the high jump at 5-feet, 7-inches in late April at the Southern Arizona Championships. She also hit a personal-best in the long jump at 18-feet, 4.75-inches at the AIA Division I Championships on May 3. Lopez also competed in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

Lopez was coached a Tucson High by former Pima jumper James Holley, who was on the team from 2003-2005.
