Pima softball slapper Tom signs to New York Institute of Technology

Pima Community College softball player Mary Tom (Mountain View HS) signed her national letter of intent and will continue her collegiate softball career at the New York Institute of Technology.

Tom, an outfielder and a slapper, played in 38 games and had 83 at-bats for the Aztecs. She hit .289 with 25 runs scored, 11 RBIs, nine walks and seven steals. She had 22 put-outs in the outfield and didn't committ an error.

Tom will join former Pima teammate Christine Olivas (Hamilton HS) on the 2017-18 team.
