Moise named ACCAC Player of the Week

Pima Community College men's basketball player Ilunga Moise (Raymond S. Kellis HS) was selected ACCAC Division II Player of the Week on Tuesday for the week of Jan. 15-21.

Moise, a sophomore forward, produced two double-doubles in Pima's wins over Mesa Community College and Arizona Western College. He averaged 20.5 points and 12.5 rebounds and shot 73.7 percent from the field.

Moise has played in 18 games; making nine starts on the season. He is averaging 10.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.

The Aztecs moved up one spot in the latest NJCAA Division II national poll to No. 7. The Aztecs host Tohono O'odham Community College on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m; the women's game will be at 5:30 p.m.
