Basketball's Anastasi signs to the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology

Pima Community College men's basketball player Jacob Anastasi (Cactus Shadows HS) signed his national letter of intent to continue his collegiate basketball career.

Anastasi, a sophomore guard who was the team captain, signed to play at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, an NCAA Division II school in Rapid City, SD.

Anastasi helped the Aztecs win its first Region I, Division II title since 2010 and a berth into the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. He averaged 10.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. He played in 32 games; making 22 starts. Anastasi was also named second-team NJCAA Academic All-American.
